The English translation of "Pan Con Bistec" is bread and steak or better known as a Cuban Steak Sandwich. This steak sandwich is made with Cuban bread and a thin slice of meat, toppled with lettuce, tiny sliced potatoes, sliced tomatoes and onions.

At first glance, this sandwich may seem ordinary, except that when cooking the steak you must apply the secret ingredient (Sofrito) in order to garnish the classic Cubano flavor. Sofrito: a blend of Spanish marinated sauce seasoning (mojo criollo; saxòn; also known as adobo) that includes cooking wine, tomato sauce, cumin powder (comino), cilantro, Olive oil, powder parsley, sour orange, onion and garlic powder, salt, oregano, and black pepper.
