The book also contains a collection of reference resource articles that can be useful for all music lovers, students and scholars--including: Rhythms of Cuba in the XIX Century, glossary of Cuban music terms, list of instruments used I Cuban music, and list of some notable Cuban musicians.
The original main melody (B-C-D) section was composed by Marlow Rosado, while the musical arrangement was composed by Maestro Bobby Ramirez as part of Bobby’s 2003 CD release entitled, “Pan con Bistec.” The original recording was adapted for Big Band orchestra by Maestro Bobby Ramirez. It also includes a sax soli.
The tune was originally recorded with a small ensemble that included: Bobby Ramirez, tenor sax and vocals; Marlow Rosado, keyboard; Ramses Colon, acoustic bass; Ruben “Tutti” Jimenez, drums; JC Johnny Conga, congas, percussion; and special guest, violinist Federico Britos. The live session took place at Sound Booth Recording Studios located at 501 West 28th street, Hialeah, FL. The recording engineer was Frank Miret.
